The Channel Islands State Marine Park Management

The Channel Islands State Marine Park Management Plan will guide public use and management of the park, to provide outdoor recreation opportunities and conserve the park's natural and cultural resources. The plan will include consideration of appropriate cabin, picnic and camping sites, and will address other issues identified by the public and managers during the planning process related to use and protection of this important marine park area.

• July 28, 2009: Public scoping meeting
• September 15, 2009: Public review draft plan available
• September 23, 2009: Public meeting to discuss draft plan, at Centennial Hall, Juneau, AK, Egan Room at 5:00-6:30 p.m.
• September 30, 2009: Public comments due on draft plan. Email to janc@gci.net, FAX to 523-1922, or mail to 114 S. Franklin St., Ste. 202, Juneau, AK 99801
• November 2, 2009: State Park Advisory Board meeting to consider final plan;
  public comment opportunity at meeting.
• Mid-November 2009: Final plan completed
